Women in engineering

This is one of the messages that established female engineers sent to their young colleagues as part of the "Empowering Women in Engineering" conference, which was held on November 29, 2024 in Niš.

LEONI Serbia proudly supported and participated in this event, which brought together experts, students and enthusiasts to discuss gender equality, challenges faced by women in science and technology, as well as ways to motivate young women to enter technical disciplines.

Special attention was focused on breaking prejudices and the message that there are no "jobs for girls and boys".

Đina Stojiljković, manager of the Quality System, Audit and Methods of the company LEONI Serbia, shared her professional journey, emphasizing that she did not encounter gender-related obstacles, which speaks of the importance of a working environment that fosters equality and supports talents.

We are proud to point out that 250 engineers currently work in our company, of which more than 120 are women.

The conference was also attended by the Ambassador of Great Britain, Edward Ferguson, and the Serbian Commissioner for the Protection of Equality, Brankica Janković.

As a company that has always been committed to the development of equal opportunities and support for inclusion, LEONI Serbia will continue to actively participate in the organization and support of such and similar events.
