Where the industry stands today in the context of logistics and transport, the biggest challenges it faces, the experiences of cooperation between business and academia, and opportunities for improvement were some of the topics discussed at the 10th International Transport and Logistics Conference.
“The cooperation between science and industry – challenges for the economy in the context of transport and logistics in global circumstances” was the theme of this year’s conference, and in addition to scientific research and papers, many insights from large companies were also presented.
Miloš Anđelković, Head of Logistic Management LEONI Serbia, spoke about the challenges of data digitalization in the supply chain and introduced participants to the company’s transport management methods and the process of data digitalization at LEONI.
- I am glad we were able to present our methods to the participants, and equally valuable were the experiences shared by other major companies operating in Serbia, as well as the discussions on the challenges ahead in the coming years, said Anđelković.
He added that he is grateful for the opportunity to be part of an event that brings together industry experts and provides a space for the exchange of knowledge and ideas.
In addition to company presentations and scientific papers, the conference also featured a panel discussion that addressed challenges in transport and logistics, concluding that this is currently a period of transition and that all participants in the supply chain must work on digitalization and transformation.
The panel was moderated by Aleksandar Stanković, Chairman of the T&L Conference Organizing Committee, and featured representatives of major international companies operating in Niš as well as other cities across Serbia.
Organized by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Niš, the Transport and Logistics Conference has been international in scope since 2014. This year, it brought together more than 100 authors from 11 countries and featured 39 scientific and professional papers.
