This year, LEONI granted 8 scholarships for best students of the technical faculties in Nis and Kraljevo

Niš, Serbia – LEONI, a global provider of energy and data management solutions in the automotive sector and other industries, continues its scholarship program by granting eight scholarships to the best students of the Mechanical Engineering Faculty of Nis, the Economy Faculty of Nis and the Mechanical and Civil Engineering Faculty of Kraljevo. The ceremony of signing the scholarship contracts between the Company and the selected students was held today in the Production Unit of Nis.

The selected students in the final year of Faculty and Master’s studies will receive monthly scholarships, in amount of 20.000 RSD, for the academic year 2018-2019. The selection criteria of the students were to have a minimum average grade of 8.5, be fluent in English and to have had a prior practical experience inside the Faculty or in other social or community projects. The granted students will also benefit from internships and practical trainings inside the Company and will have the opportunity to learn from real life case studies and various other projects. After graduation, they will be offered the possibility to work within LEONI Serbia.

We look forward to welcoming them to LEONI soon and become part of our big team“, said the Commercial Managing Director LEONI Serbia Mrs. Danijela Ivkovic on signing the scholarship contracts.

„This is a great chance for me to  have the opportunity to learn and practice in one of the biggest companies in the country. I am thankful to the LEONI Serbia and I hope I will join the Company after finishing my studies“, stated Marija Kostic, student of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Nis.

Last year, LEONI Serbia granted 15 scholarships to the best students from the Nis University and 7 of them have already started to work with the Company. In addition to the sholarships, LEONI Serbia supports all students interested to have an internship in different departments of the Company. Until now, more than 100 of them had practical training in our plants.
